Costco and Coke have been going round and round for years. Coke wants to dictate the price that Costco sells Coke and Costco disagrees. At one point Costco actually banned ALL Coke products from all the Costco's. They moved to Pepsi at their food courts due to this problem. I am a Coke fanatic, but I really love Costco, more than Coke. I like the way Costco stands up to these big corporations.

Yep, I drink diet coke most of the time but agree with Costco on this.

If I remember correctly it was the distributors were getting mad at Costco and Coke Corp as Coke was sold direct to Costco and sometimes was resold for less than what the distributors sold it for. So Coke Corp had to "put its foot down" so they would not be sued by the distributors.

Somehow Pepsi dealt with that.

They've served Pepsi as long as I remember. Though I try to avoid the sodas.

Sad thing is, Costco only sells their hot dogs bundled with a free soda.

It's tempting not to just drink water with a free soda, I usually 'compromise' with the Rasberry Iced Tea but it's probably as unhealthy as the soda, darn it.
