I might buy the Corsair M45 when I get paid

I like the idea of the sniper button on the M65 but it looks like it's positioned right where your thumb needs to hold the mouse...

Supposedly it has a flawed sensor.

Main problem with the g9 series is the cable would fail.

I'm pretty sure after a few years your chances of facing the same issue is super high, both my g9 and g9x failed the same way. I use cord anchors so it was under no strain, its common enough that there are "how to fix" videos on youtube.

I've been using the Roccat Kone Pure laser at work all day and I really like it. The tilted top makes it more ergonomic than the G9 but it's still a fingertip mouse. The shape will take some getting used to, not sure where to put my right ring finger-- On the G9 I rested it on top of the edge of the fingertip grip. Ring and pinkie on the right side seems best.

The wheel is a lot better than the G9. Easier to press and nice notched action

I am new here, and the owner of a dying G9X. .
I just wanted to bring to your attention a petition i have up to attempt to get Logitech to reproduce this mouse. If you would like to, feel free to follow the link below and sign the petition. It might be a long shot, but it should be worth it, in the long run, if we get what we want.

Good day everybody.

I'm using a CM storm spawn now but the G9/x was more comfortable. I own 3 of them and they all have different issues over time which is why I'm not using them. I'm not going to pay $200. They really need to make a replacement with the same shape and maybe just improve the scroll wheel button a little, I'll buy 2.

I use a G303 now and I actually like it more than the G9. It's lighter, lower lift off distance, scroll wheel button is actually usable, and the button clicks are a little better. It's small enough that it works for me.

edit: should add that after 9 months the G303 left click died but logitech is replacing it no problem as usual. I find most logitech mice die within a year (all 3 of my G9 are dead) for me but I also use PC about 16 hours a day

This happens for all the mice I like. I'm the opposite of you and like huge palm grips. e.g. Microsoft Natural 6000 mouse, Steelseries Cataclysm mouse. Both are like $300+ new because they've been discontinued.

Kinda off topic but if anyone has any recommendations for giant mice like that, I'm all ears.

God, I rue the day that my MX518 bites it ... I dunno how I will replace that treasured gem. Ebay sellers still gouge the crap out of you for them.

Also looking for a suitable replacement for my aging g9x. It works great, no issues but it's getting old.

I guess the corsair raptor m45 or the logitech g303 are the best choice for us claw grip users. I'll pick one up

BTW other companies do make fingertip mice, but I don't think any of them has onboard profiles. You have to install their bloatware to customize the mouse.
I remember the Steelseries Xai had an onboard memory (8 banks) and even had its own little LCD display on the bottom of the mouse.

I remember agonizing over a replacement when my MX518 died long ago, been using a G9 for the past 7 years or so. Only recently had to clean the sensor for a jerky tracking issue, don't see it going away anytime soon. If it died tomorrow it would suck to shell out money for a replacement mouse, but I'm not worried about the options. A G402 looks like it would suit me just fine.

I had one, enjoyed it. But MX518 will always have the soft spot in my heart. The G500s I have is close enough. But the G9x I enjoyed, it just took long to get use to. I felt like my reaction on clicks was far too slow compared to traditional layouts.
