seriously tho ... theyre not auctions so it should be allowed. but i agree with it being locked ... just as this thread will be locked ... ubid is a bunch of scammers. i just didn't expect them to completely LIE. geez whiz. =)

The ubid thing turned out to be a total lying scam. The moderators knew it before the "deal" started and they have been proven right now that the facts are out. I am 100% behind the moderators on this one.

You know - all this jumping on ubid as a big scam sure seems awfully short-sighted. Anyone who has purchased something through their "ubuy" program should know that once the stock for that run is sold out, the item disappears from the list at ubid. It is entirely possible hat ubid has been doing onesies and twosies of the items they said they would do after the site was back up. The amount of traffic that they get is so huge that such a deals would probably last about 30 seconds before being all sold out and thus delisting the item from their site. Sure, they could have been out and out lying, but the results we have seen are conisistent with what would have happened if they had provide small quantities of the deals like they promised.

In theory, original thread shouldn't be locked, as it is a buy price, not auction (as mentioned many times before).

As for the promotion being a scam - prove it. (maybe you could... but you can't talk for now)

And yes, I dislike uBid.
