Yes, came with a 6 speed Tremec T6060 dual disk clutch just like the ZR1. Suppose to be 556hp but it's so damn quiet that you would never know.
They probably line a million resonators throughout the exhaust to quiet it down. I think car and drivers test one dyno'd a little lower than 550, but another test I saw dynod at 560....so yeah around there.
How much are your monthlys?
When it was out, there was no car as fast for the price or even close to the price for what you got. Even today 5+ years later it'd still be competitive in it's price range if it would still being sold new. Sure, I have to live with a car not being a looker but I took care of that with mods.
2011 CTS-V Sedan
- wanted Vette like performance
- safety
- 4 doors
- wanted a manual
- wanted force induction
- like visiting gas stations and tire dealers
- Liked my '08 CTS but it lacked performance. Liked my Corvette but it was very impractical. Best of both worlds.

BHP != WHP
On a chassis dyno they put out around 480 AWHP. If you saw one putting down 560 on the dyno it was modded with ~ 650 crank (easy with a pulley and tune).
Because people leave me alone for the same reason small animals don't try to intimidate bigger animals.
Small animals try to intimidate bigger animals all the time. And I'm sure you aren't left alone either. Shoot, after the SHO commercials some idiot in a 90's SHO thought he could race my Audi.
No... I'm pretty much left alone. The Camry on the other hand is the biggest ricer and asshole magnet on the planet.

They lose nearly 100hp from the crank to the wheels? (seeing some dyno in the 450-470 range)
I understand that, but they say the official stats cadillac put out were for wheel horsies. In the article at least.

No manufacturer has measured HP at the wheels in something like 50 years. All official numbers are always at the flywheel. Didn't someone on Top Gear try to make a fuss about the GT500 only putting down 425 HP instead of the "claimed 500" and made complete idiots out of themselves. No car puts down the advertised horsepower on a dyno at the tires. If it gets anywhere near it, that's what we call officially underrated.
Pretty standard numbers. It's around 12% for RWD and 15% and higher for AWD. CTS-V can come with either if I'm not mistaken. You can pulley and tune for less than $1000 and get your 15% back though :sneaky:
