(Second part not the Nixon part)
Look it up yourself.
EDIT
oh my that was rude of me. He's a few, you can also watch a video by Myron Ebell the new head of the EPA transition team agreeing with me.
"Next, here are the things you need to know about how the regulations will negatively impact the economy.

-New regulations will kill 226,000 American jobs.

-New regulations will cost the U.S. economy $51 billion per year.

-Even with new regulations, carbon is only expected to decrease by 1.8 percent by 2030.

-Despite EPA claims new regulations will reduce the cost of power, electricity rates are expected to go up."

California is a leader in clean air regulation, and the air is now pretty decent considering the geography and the population density.

Some other parts of the US just don't care about their people's health in general. I mean they even blocked Medicaid expansion, which would have given access to millions of their own residents to much needed health care and kept many of their hospitals from shutting. Doing nothing about air pollution is par for that course.

P.S: European love affair with diesel is not a good idea, as clean diesel is a scam like clean coal. I think if they switch to electric cars and hybrids, they'll be in much better shape.

Thanks for providing a link.

So in June 2014 think tanks connected with the fossil fuel industry assumed the clean power plan would have some negative effects. Let's see if they have.

-Despite EPA claims new regulations will reduce the cost of power, electricity rates are expected to go up. Details from AP:

According to EIA.gov

US electrical prices are down 1.2% between Sept 2015 and Sept 2016

New regulations will kill 226,000 American jobs.

This a complicated one to review. Without knowing which jobs specifically they assumed would be lost it's hard to check.
However the economy continued to add jobs at basically the same rate so any drag on job growth was likely minimal.

-Even with new regulations, carbon is only expected to decrease by 1.8 percent by 2030.

Every little bit helps. But our overall emissions dropped about 2% from 2014 to 2015.

So while your article seems like it had likely impacts from the implementation of CPP history seems to show the bad predictions were over stated and the good understated.

I'm having a hard time seeing how this supports your claim that the EPA has over stepped its authority with job killing regulations.

I mean if these were climate change predictions you would have disregarded them almost immediately based on how poorly they reflected reality.

Good, you can take your issues up with the new Trump administration, we'll see if you can change their minds. You sure didn't succeed in changing mine.

But let's be clear your mind & theirs are only motivated by crude self-interest. In this case theirs to socialize losses and yours to hope for a winning lottery ticket to join them.

If trump or co gave you some benefit to say something else, whether it's a done deed is a foregone conclusion.

Any decisions on the CPP by the incoming administration doesn't change the impacts the CPP has had. Those impacts are not the ones your article predicted.

Two other things.

1. Like I said, you're useful to me. Others can read our posts and make up their own minds. But I don't really care if I change yours.

2. You are learning things arguing with me. In this thread you actually supported yourself with a link after refusing to do so. Thanks to the way the brain works you'll be picking stuff up from my posts even if you don't want to.

European love affair with diesel is not a good idea, as clean diesel is a scam like clean coal.
Diesel emissions can be drastically reduced with things like urea systems (urea gets rid of roughly 97% of nitrous oxide, the acid rain causer). Europe and Australia have weaker standards for emissions than America's recent standards — VW's trickery notwithstanding.

The problem with diesel emissions is actually nanoparticles that are caused by the anti-emissions systems! These particles are much more damaging to lungs than the larger soot particles.

So, the best diesel emissions system would probably let larger soot particles through rather than convert soot into nanoparticles, convert nitrogen oxides with urea, and destroy carbon monoxide.

It's not economical to make diesel clean, same as coal. We have the technology now to do better with electrification, no point clinging to old stuff. Especially in Europe where things are far more urban and less spread out, so range is much less of an issue.
