Why do asians only hang out with other asians?

im asian and im good at science and math. my hobbies include playing the violin and piano. i drive a honda accord and my parents own their own business (dry cleaning, food market, etc)

actually i am asian-american and my mom owns a food market. LOL. crap..

the answer is obvious. people who are new to this country or their parents never taught them english well tend to hang out with people who can speak their own language. its not a big deal. i would say most of my friends are mixing pot of races, because thats what we live in. a huge mixing pot of many cultures, traditions, religions. if you are still in college why not check out some sociology classes? you are bound to have a class about minority relations or asian cultures.

but the truth is you should be outside talking to and meeting new friends who are not from your same background if you are trying to learn more about them. you are doing exactly what they are doing by segregating yourself and asking indirect questions.

eh this isn't true especially to just asians. many people hang out with "their own" as a comfort thing having more in common such as a language other than english that might be their primary language. i know lots o armenians that pretty much hang out with just armenians, black that hang out with black, hispanic ppl who hang out mainly with hispanic ppl. don't generalize though cuz there are planty of people who hang out with people not of their own. I myself avoid contact with other armenians whenever possible

It's been the same way for me. I only had one Asian friend up to HS, all my friends were white and black. But once I got to college, I started hanging around with other Asians due to the same reason you mentioned.

Compare ANY race to the Jews in intelligence, college education.. they'll blow asians out of the water. And anyone else you want to compare them too.

I have a Jewish brother in law, and a Korean cousin. The differences in familys is striking.

Yes the Asians are studious generally.. but no one can touch the jews on success or nearly anything intellectually based.

I have a close jewish friend at a nearby college.. and his intelligence is mindblowing.

i represent the scotch-irish of america.. who dont do too bad in the polls on that webpage that they are included in.. #6 in proportions of americans who have completed college by self identified ancestries.




One must also remember that any racial minority, whether it be jewish or chinese is going to have a higher "proportion" or percentage graduate.. they are MUCH fewer in the USA than whites or blacks.
Plus, everything is stacked in their favor as far as free grants ect.

I have a mexican friend who i went to HS with, who is now going to med school completely for free.. because they "need" more latino doctors.

so things are really stacked against old whitey in most polls and stats. we are actually pretty damn good at stuff too.. we did a hell of a job creating the western world.
