thomsbrain - I see your point. If it was someone new instead of someone I previously knew, it would be different though. That was just a small part of the convo, and only because (and not sure why) I wasn't feeling like coming right out and making a "let's go on a date move". I was going to bring it up in person, so it was more just like an attempt to hang, and for awhile it looked like it was working, but who knows.

And yeah, I mean I'm not stressin' this girl, I AM stressing girls in general though and how they all seem to have tunnel vision, be oblivious to their surroundings, and play bizarre head games.

It is just frustrating know that all a girl has to do is look good to get looks. For a guy, you are going to need to look good, be dressed well, and reek of money all at once.

Example - What is going to get a girl's attention more. Let's say it is a girl working at Armani Exchange. You come up with some sort of line, or instead you just buy a shirt and pull out a $100 from your stack of 100's sitting in your wallet. I think that would trump any pickup line.

I refuse to call more than twice when I KNOW they are not busy and I can just envision them looking at their phone and seeing my number and deciding not to pick up...

There were no awkward moments during our hour-long phone convo and she even made a comment, "well it was great catching up with you, the convo flowed very nicely" or something to that affect.

I did have a 1 night stand with this girl way back too btw. We both got pretty wasted. But why the hell do you talk to someone for an hour if you are not interested and intentionally are going to ignore them from that moment on?

here is my 2 cents - the fact that you guys had a 1 night stand in the past could be the reason why she's probably reluctant to have you help her get what you call a *better job*. she may feel that she'll be obligated to owe you somehow, yes, read that to mean she's probably thinking you'll want a booty call OR a relationship.

you called her twice already. leave well enough alone. she has your ph #, right? if she's interested in leaving her current job (have you considered the fact that she may actually be happy there??!!!), then she knows to call you.

btw, the fact that you guys talked for an hour is simply that--you guys caught up on old times. she may not want anything more, like a relationship with you.

so to sum it up - move on with your life. don't bother calling her again. if she wants to talk to you either as a friend or as a possible job lead, she knows to dial your digits.

oh yeah, if you are gonna return something where she works--try not to go when she's working 'cause you don't wanna seem like you're stalking her or come across as desperate.

the only mars vs venus thing most should worry about is that most women are playing our same game.

They want sex too and that's why they have their 'slutty outfit' they wear out at times. Now women think more about it than men only because of the social stigma it may cause...but if you keep things quiet and don't talk/brag about things; you'd be surprised what a chick will do in a night.

I am always honest and upfront when I am just looking for a good night than a good relationship. Not everything, but a lot of the time; it works out.

However; never believe a chick that says 'I NEVER do/ NEVER HAVE done this' after drinking age. I always got a good inside laugh when a friend told me of some total hot chick he nailed after meeting her at a bar that told him she never had a one-night stand.

I think a common mistake too many guys make (including myself for the past 20 some odd years) is assuming that women are just too difficult to understand.

Women want sex just like guys do, but they think in a fundamentally different way than guys do. If this girl is particularly attractive, she gets hit on many times a day and can have sex whenever she wants. Therefore, her anti-slut reflexes are kicking in the moment you bring up hanging out. She can see right through your motives and most likely won't give it up that easily. You probably should have been more laid back and casual, inviting her out to coffee to catch up. This way you could have come completely under her radar. The direct game can work, but only if you are a very good looking guy with a lot of confidence.
