Why do I keep getting e-mail, calls, mail from car dealers

Offering to pay top dollar for my 12-year-old Dodge caravan? Is it really that rare and valuable? Where are they getting my info?

The offer is to have somebody offer for it, and then the dealer says they'll pay double whatever the offer is.

I like my minivan, don't want to sell it. When I was having some financial problems a year or two ago I ended up living in my van. It was really comfy. Are people really that desperate that they need a van to live in?

Toyota dealer I bought my RX-8 from has been on my ass to go test drive an FR-S. I'm getting calls every other day about it.

I wish I never signed up for that 86 crap. That car is so shit, and multiplying already. Some kid in my area has one decked out with aftermarket exhaust and Audi lights. lol

Weird - I constantly am also getting email requesting me to trade in my vehicle - it's also a dodge (grand) caravan. Same lines about high demand, etc.

I assume that it would be a waste of my time to go. But, one of these days, when I have some time to waste, I think I'm going to waste the time of some car salesman to take out on him the frustration/anxiety of seeing something in the mail that says "second notice."

Similar deal with my parents' Chrysler T&C. Although clearly marked with the dealership's branding, "Micheal" who is in no way affiliated with them, has personally sent this letter because he'd like to pay top dollar for the car. It's not even enough to pay off the car loan.

I get so pissed seeing an envelope with some bs American eagle or official looking letterhead to see it's spam.
