It's just a bunch of boats catching crab, every show, every time, and yet I can't look away.

I completely agree. It's an amazing show for some reason.

Northwestern FTW!

You're hoping someone gets crushed by one of those crab pods and that they catch it on camera.

It's amazing some of the punishment the boat and crew must endure and then they
show the payout @ the end, makes one wonder if he could handle it...

It's a great show, Mike Row's (from Dirty Jobs) narration is outstanding, the editing is is top notch. It really gives you a feel for what those guy's do, and how hard they work. And lets face it, every one of us watches that and wonders if we could do it.

Because it's something we don't do, that is also very challenging and no one can dispute that.

That one rogue wave that sent the boat on it's side was scary, like watching a train crush a car stuck on a crossing.

You nailed it. I would love the $$$ but it's non-stop grueling work.

My dad and grandfather made their careers by doing exactly what you see on the Deadliest Catch...

$850,000 cash for 3 months worth of work... (back in the 1970s)

Think you could handle it?

I agree about Mike Rowe. I think he's a large part of the reason for the show's draw. He seems to have a very compelling voice and tends to make things more interesting than they might otherwise be.

I love that show. I was watching the other night, and they were catching these giant sized crabs. It just looked like so much fun.

Fave show on TV right now. I had a real hair-stand-up-on-the-neck moment when that sailor fell overboard chaining the stack this season.

That was awesome how he was in the right place at the right time to save that guy.

I'll admit, I couldn't do that job.

It was amazing that 'Johnathan' the captain of the Time Bandit started catching huge numbers of crabs right after saving the guy. Before that they were drawing up like 5-6 crabs per pot.

It's awesome. The new one they're showing about the oil rigs is just stupid though.

Dumbass Blake... Dumped 5 thousand pounds of crab over the side only to come up short when they offloaded his boat. Bet his crew was pissed.

Jonathan from the Time Bandit pulled those 150 plus pots.
