Why do old threads dissappear?

I have posted a few threads,

"AnandTech forum members with websites, click here"
"Microsoft's Ideal PC Setup"
"What do you pay for gasoline in your area"

And they no longer show up when I click on the link in my favorites.
Do old threads get deleted?
