I doubt it. As an old woman who spent that much on the car i am sure she is either a bmw fan"boy" or tried out a benz first and didn't like it. Most women her age and with her money grew up with all her friends who drove benz's or saw others with them and had to have gone with a bmw instead for a reason.
Also you never know she might be an adrenaline junkie form back in the deay. Maybe she has always owned fast cars, maybe a camaro in the 60's, etc and now the is older with more money and looks for luxury aswell so M5 it is. She must know what it is to get it over the regular 5 series. Now if she is 80+ i find it weird yes, but 40-70 not so much

Probably not a whole lot smaller than seeing either car by itself. I feel that people that own such exclusive cars tend to live in the same social circles, and might go for a drive together for the hell of it. In addition, there are rally events and car shows etc. that they might be a part of.

I saw a M5 and a M6 today, which was pretty cool but very strange...especially where I live. You don't see people cruising around in brand-new M6's very often.

That's pretty crazy, but regardless I think the new BMWs look like trash. They tried to style them way to aggressive looking and it just came out wrong IMO. I prefer the older BMWs like the E34s and E39s

I was in HK and saw a Gallardo and a Zonda behind it . Awesome sound in person of them both pulling away fairly hard.

E46 M3 = the sexy!

On a totally unrelated note, most of my mates hate on BMW and think it's a tossers car...most prefering Audi's...I can't stand Audi's styling! Granted the only BMW I'd get is the E46 M3.

several, although, given how rare E39 M5s are (in comparison, the new M5s and M6s are everywhere here) it's probably been the same old woman each time.
