Why do other countries think they are culturally superior to the US?

Inspired by the "Why do Americans think the Democrats are left wing?" thread where foreigners attempt to "educate" Americans about American politics. Foreigners seem to think that all Americans are inbred racist retards.

Let's look at the facts:

Europe - Even more racist than the US with a society that isn't even as diverse as ours. They haven't had a major ethnic cleansing for 10 or so years AND haven't started a major war for 70! Impressive!

Asia - Exists solely to build cheap plastic shit for the US. The only country that could actually stand on it's own (Japan) is filled with perverts. At least they can do math really well.

Australia - A culture so "enlightened" that they have internet blacklists and ban violent video games. Apparently they've forgotten that they're all descendants of European rejects.

Canada - Like Asia, their economy is entirely dependent on the US buying shit from them. Think they are superior because they have universal healthcare. In reality they basically exist to serve their masters with delicious maple syrup and moose memorabilia.

South America/Africa/Middle East - Irrelevant.

I work for a small European company with people from all parts of Europe (although mostly German). We all respect each other just fine, but if you get in to any serious discussion with any of them, they always feel like their country "does it right" and the US is just a mess. Or if something is wrong with their country, it is partially or wholly the US's fault.

I don't let it bother me. As one of my colleagues once said, "we are so interested in what is going on in the US because it affects us so". We are still the superpower (although slowly dwindling like any one time great company). Just like the popular jock in your high school, there are going to be people who loved him, were superficially friends with him, and despised him for all the "luck" he's had.
