Why do people hate Jews?

I did answer the question regarding why germans hated the jews, they simply needed someone to blame...

I did answer the question regarding why (some) arabs hate (some) jews, it is simply because the jews are enemies...

Did you get it this time or do i have to explain further? YOU are trying to be a smartass, but if you could not figure these things out from my first post, then i assume you are a dumbass...

Making it sound like Hitler only blamed the Jews because he needed someone, anyone, to blame trivializes the level of hatred that Jews were held in. The depression would have accelerated and worsened the hatred, but it wasn't the antecedent.

Again, you're looking at the surface and ignoring any antecedants about the Arabs. The hatred has been going on for a lot longer than the sixty years the Israeli state has existed.

I was curious why you haven't learned of the Inquisition in Spain (or do you think it was common peasants being persecuted by the Catholic Church?). It would take some work to find, but I am sure since the diaspora of the Jewish people they have been persecuted where ever they have lived. The reason given by many as to why the Jewish people have been persecuted is that they had the money. Some of this may be true, but one thing was true. They were educated, living not among the elite of Europe (the only other educated people), but among the commoners who had no means to be educated. People fear what they don't understand or don't feel equal to. Jewish people have also usually stuck with their own holidays and traditions so never made themselves part of any of the other societies. Nomadic people get scorned for the same reasons.

And BTW, your name calling is not appreciated (I found it boorish). I find name calling to be inconsistent with mature intelligence and more commonly found in arguments from those with no evidence of why they have strong beliefs, but have them anyway (usually the foundation of bigotry). So ask yourself why you feel the way you do. Have the Jewish people ever harmed you or your family, or your country? Wasn't it one of your Scandinavian countries that aided Hitler? Maybe you aren't as unbiased as you think you are.

Oh and the Arab/Jew thing goes at least as far back as the Quran (the holy book of the Muslim). Wherein it states that as a Muslim you are to never befriend a Christian or a Jew. It then goes to imply these (not friends/enemies) would be better off dead. So maybe this really didn't start recently.

If your GF didn't like what she saw at the wedding, maybe she should have attempted to read up on Orthodoxy before deciding Judaism was sexist. If she even tried to dig beneath the surface, she would have learned of the Jewish concept of Sniut, or modesty. This is why the Woman was dressed like that. There are many ways in which males have to be Sniut, just not in that particular, more visible way. If she looked even further, she would have found that women are the complete equals of men in Judaism, and are such in virtually every facet of Judiasm. The seperation of male and female, is not due to inequality, but rather to sniut.


Also, I do not like your generalizing of Jewish alcohol intake. Let me ask you, did you ever see that co-worker of yours hung over at work (not counting the day after a Jewish holiday)? The answer, I would likely bet, is no. Jews celebrate simchas (joyus occasions) and holidays with alcohol, it is the preffered way according to the Talmud. I have seen many a Jew get totally hammered on Simchas Torahor Shabbos, only to be totally sober and fully competent the other 6 days of that week.


Besides Bluefront, I have seen you post in most of these threads defending the anti-Semites on this board. I remember when there was the thread for the Chassid who was tragically murdered by a skinhead, you were defending the two guys who were essentially "rah, rah, skinheads" and "Boo, Jews."

I only scanned the thread so I don't know if this has been posted yet or not...but an example of earlier demonstrations of people hating jews was in the middle ages, with the Black Death. People wanted something to pin the black death on. In that time, many jews were money lenders. People didn't like them, because they often charged high interest rates. People then took that dislike and used it to their advantage, claiming jews were poisoning the wells with the Black Death and because of their wealth they could get their water elsewhere. Obviously not the case, just as many Jews died.

Snapit, since you seem to either have a serious language barrier or choose not to read others posts I was giving a clear example of an instance in europe where the Jewish people have been singled out and been targeted for clear racial hatred. That hasn't been the only example given in this thread, but like all relativistic individuals who believe whatever they think to be truth even if presented evidence to the contrary. I have read quite a few threads where you have used this tactic when you have no legitimate response. I am sorry I wasted my time responding and will never bother doing so again. I learn my lessons, my memory isn't conviently short.
