Why do people hate on Christians so much?

Do you dispute that the best way to spend the money collected for the poor and unfortunate would be on the poor and unfortunate and not on stainded glass, gold fixtures and out-of-court settlements?

I'm hindu and I know that in the past, hindus in india ignored teh poor and it was the christian missionaries that helped them...sure the asked the people to convert but when your own religion turns its back on you, why wouldnt you convert

I was forced to go to church for about 15 years of my life. I was forced. I am also a thinker and even at a young age I found everything they said to be total BS. ALot of hatred can build up over 15 years. And when I have to go to church out of obligation, I have feelings of rage for everything it stands for inside of me. I litterally can not stand going to church.

Why?
Sex out of wedlock: Ya, stats pretty much disprove that church staple.

It's a waste of a Sunday. I get more done by noon on SUnday than most people do all week. I WORK on my home. I ENJOY IT. IT IS A STRESS RELIEVER. This whole rest on Sunday bit is BS.

Definition of a Christian: Someone who follows the teachings of Jesus. All the stuff you pointed out was made by corrupted INDIVIDUALS. As for rest on Sunday: people work their asses off all week, and Sunday is a day of rest in which they should not work and take time off to do something relaxing (in your case: more work?). Again, from all the points you mentioned, I assume that YOU HATE GERMANS TOO. It must make your blood boil when someone says that theyre proud to be german, or when they stand for the National Anthem of Germany.

I do find it interesting that in many cases what people cite as reasons to hate on religion are things that they themselves are doing. In my short life I have met far more closed-minded people who bashed on religion than religious people who are closed minded. The little sub-culture that trashes religion sort of creates an un-attackable position because people can hate on religion and that is progressive. Yet if religious people talk back, then all of sudden they are impressing their views, closed-minded and so forth.

The MAIN reason people hate Christians is because they can't keep their religious beliefs TO THEMSELVES. Let me give you some example:

a) Blue Law - Can't buy sh!t on Sundays
b) FCC crack down on "indecent material"
c) No gay marrage
2. Abortion rights - Yep, Christians are the MAIN backer of the anti-abortion campaign.
3. Prayer in schools - Fvckers have a tax free institution (CHURCH) but that isn't enough for their brainwashing machine. They want it in schools too.
4. The Pledge of Allegiance - Yep, they want God in their too.

I also have to put up with their bullsh!t moronic bumper stickers, "No Jesus, no peace", "Abortion a choice? That's a lie," fvcking praying Calvin, "My Boss is a Jewish carpenter," "One nation UNDER GOD..." On and on. Now see what happens when I put a bumper sticker on my car that says, "Jesus is like Santa Clause for adults." I wonder what group is "not going to fight back" and fvck up my car.

And I LOVE it when other Christians say, "Hey, those are the crazy Christians. I don't do things like that." Well why don't you takes steps to keep them from fvcking up your name? People that hate christians are ignorant retards. But there are plenty of people out there that believe many christians are hypocrits who only want to convert people to their faith. In my personal experience, most of my friends are christians, and while I've had a few deep conversations with some of them and attended religious events (or maybe that should say an event...) with them, they're nothing like the stereotypes and are very accepting of MY beliefs. When most sane, educated individuals rip on christians, they're usually ripping on douchbags like Pat Robertson and his ilke.
