I feel the same way. I normally don't say anything if someone sneezes. On another note a friend of mine says "God bless you" when someone sneezes, yet claims to be atheist.

My kid, 11, says, "Whoa, didn't see that coming."It is probably better to say "Excuse me!" when you fart instead of "Woah, that's going to REALLY stink! I think it left a mark!"

They provide 'lubrication' to society made up of dissimilar backgrounds and cultures. In short, they prevent sparks from erupting out of our pointy heads and causing fires.

if someone sneezes? i say nothing. for one, im not the one who sneezed, and if the sneezer is not expected to say something then im not either. and 2nd, when someone says god bless you it means they believe in ghosts. i dont, so it would be wrong of me to say it.
A person who sneezes should say, excuse me. To which a polite person would say Gesundheit or, God bless you. You don't say it because you are German or, believe in God. You say it because it is a polite formality of the culture you live in unless, you live outside the U.S.
