When they put a "none of the above" vote on the ballot, I'll be more trhan happy to vote.

Not everyone should vote. There are some real idiots(democrats) out there.

I didn't vote last year, because I didn't care strongly about either candidate for president. And I knew nothing about any lower elections, since I was overseas.

You exercise your right to vote, I exercise my right not to.

I vote only when there is a candidate worth voting for.

That is what casting a blank race is for.

people dont vote because they think they are making some big statement against politics and dont stop and realize that even if both candidates are bad, what will happen if the worser candidate is the chosen victor?
honestly i think those that dont vote are ignorant and dont realize that sure while politicians are corrupt, that its a better world with corrupt politicians than without politicians at all...
anarchy is the most ignorant idea ever drawn up from the human mind, sure its our natural instinct to be free, but that very instinct only finds a suitable home in caves where we communicate by grunting.

i proudly vote, no matter how bad both candidates win. at least i have a say in helping get the lesser of two evils in. i'd rather not see where we would be if the worser of the candidates all won their elections and had a government run by them.

The teacher I had back in highschool for constitution class put it this way - low voter turnout can show that people are content with the government, that they will be fine with either canditate winning, that the government has been treating them fairly well no matter who's in charge. High voter turnout is usually when there is someone up for election who will hurt many people's lives if he is in charge.

And no one turn this into an Iraq debate, I can already see that coming.

The day Mississippi doesn't vote Republican is the day we get taken over by China.

So if I like the Republican candidate, I know that he'll get elected. If I like the Democratic candidate, I know that there's no way he'd win even if I did vote.

i think anyone who chooses not to vote has absolutely given up their right to bitch and moan about not liking how things are going.

Why aren't you guys voting in local elections? They may not make the news as much as the national ones but your vote counts more and the results affect you more.

We need to have more government and politics taught in school. Apparently, alot of people just don't understand.

Well, I didn't vote in the last election because I thought I could squeeze in the time between school and work. Come election day, I couldn't.

I'm curious how things would be if we had window of say a week to vote.
