why do they never play the soup nazi episode

Unless you're being sarcastic, I find it nice to see there's someone else out there who'll admit it's not as amusing as all the dedicated Seinfeld fans seem to think.

That was one of only about 4 episodes I ever watched. I thought, at first, "that's kinda funny!" But, 1 episode of the same joke over and over and over, coupled with predictable lines from everyone else and a laugh track to remind us that those lines are funny...

I've always thought Seinfeld was dumb.

They dont play it to keep you watching. That episode wasn't amazing by any means, however, it got some hype and suddenly everyone thinks its funny. I love Seinfeld, the comedian, but that episode just wasn't that good.

There are episodes like the Soup Nazi that provide fodder for the rest of the year. Took the last seat in the conference room? When others come in looking for a seat, "No soup for you!"

Whether you think it's stupid or not, I don't think I've ever sat through an episode of Seinfeld and not laughed at least once.

It grew on me when my friend started watching the DVDs.

Well, me too.. I've laughed at least once per episode that I've watched. However, IT'S A COMEDY! Comedies are supposed to be funny - i.e. you laugh quite a bit. Not just once or twice.
