Why Do We Need An Explicitly Gay Comic Hero?

rbloedow, my sexuality is not in question here. With that said, I'm as straight as an arrow. And I don't miss. I just find a comic strip about a gay comic hero disturbing. If there was a strip about an explicitly straight hero, NOW and other gay and lesbian groups would be all over it.
