Funny then that literally every argument made by conservatives for the past several decades in order to defend their anti-immigration policies, including the OP's, relies on exactly the zerosum view of economics that I described. If immigrants are stealing Americans' jobs, as anti-immigration conservatives argue, then the number of jobs must be fixed, right? If immigrants are stealing Americans' wealth, as the OP argues, then the amount of American wealth must be somehow fixed as well, right? Or at the very least, the conservatives are arguing that immigrants cannot add to American jobs and wealth, which is effectively the same thing.
I don't have anything backwards, you just believe that your little black and white fantasy worldview is actually real, so you judge people and ideas by their partisan labels, and not by what they actually say and do.
