I hate him because he has the physical talent to be better than even Jordan was, but his mentality holds him down. What a waste.

Also, he has an incredibly large ego, even by superstar athlete standards.

Disagree. Lebron is a physical speciman no doubt but not on Jordans level IMO. Jordan at 36 in his last year at Chicago still looked like a man amongst boys. Even when he came back at 40 he dropped like 40 points in a game.

If anyone faults him for leaving Cleveland, they have either a) never been to Cleveland or b) lived in Cleveland since birth.

Its not leaving Cleveland, but the way he left.

EDIT: And to NeoV above - I rarely hear about LeBron on the radio or the paper. But I'm LOLing at you calling out Browns fans.

Browns fans are for the most part a bunch of drunks - it's a complete and utter failure to walk through the 'dawg pound' - it might as well be the back room of smelly bar in Lakewood

After LeBron had a good playoffs and won a chip I think there is some gaining positive support for LeBron again.

Agree, MJ would have eaten LeBron alive physically and mentally. What is LeBron's signature shot? Because noone was ever blocking MJ's fadeaway.

I grew up spending my summers with my aunt and uncle who lived near Cleveland. That city became a bit of a second home in the world of sports for me behind Buffalo teams. Thus, my dislike of LeBron.

Still waiting for a one of my teams (in either Buffalo or Cleveland) to win a championship in my lifetime.

he did this year what he never has. tried, the whole time. i cant stand the guy, but if he plays every year like he did this one and especially this post season... then fuck it im not going to let a stupid personality get in the way of watching something special. he was unstoppable in the finals. nobody in the league can guard him when he tries like that.

Wouldn't shake hands and congratulate the Orlando Magic when beaten in 2009(?).

Mocked Dirk Nowitski for being sick during the 2011 finals.

He's got douchebag itis.

Great and capable player, but has been a small minded pinhead much of his career.

The way he carries himself.
The way he left the Cavs.
The way in that gif he threw his warm ups away from the guy, instead of just handing them to him.
The way he told everyone to go back to their miserable lives after putting up a lame duck vs. Dallas last year.
The way he somehow got the nickname "King".
Edit - Also what jjsole stated.

The guy is just a fucking ass. This is what today's youth is growing up and seeing and believe is acceptable behavior from a basketball player.

you people are delusional, seriously

he's the only NBA player that hop-steps, or - GASP - carries the ball when he dribbles?

He "carries" himself better than most professional athletes.

What major athlete hasn't left Cleveland when given the chance? Keep in mind he stayed 7 years, only had to stay 4 - so he did stay once already, for 3 years.

We kill athletes in the press for leaving 'for the money'. This guy leaves for a better chance to win titles - which he gets in year 2 - and we still kill him for it.

The ball-boy clip? He's 6'8 and watching the game - do you think he even saw the ballboy?

Yah, he really hates kids..

Have you ever seen a basketball player hand the ball boy his outerwear? I've seen thousands of games and never seen it happen.

Same in tennis. They just drop the balls behind them and toss them on the ground.
And who knows... maybe that ball boy was a prick.

That video made me dislike him too, but most top athletes are pricks.

You know what I like about him? He's not a ball hog, he never tried to take the credit for wins no matter how well he played. If he was a ball hog like Kobe he'd probably average 50ppg, but he's not about making himself the star, he's about winning. I don't know him personally to speak on him as a person, but he seems pretty down to earth in interviews. I also like how he doesn't throw his team under the bus Kobe style when they lose. Love or hate him, get use to the Heat winning rings. The not 1, not 2, not 3 speech was kind of pompous, but it's looking like it could very well actually happen. They took the best team the West has to offer and stomped all over them.

If he plays next season like the last season and wins another ring it's a wrap for him being the GOAT.

I wouldn't say Lebron is all about winning. He's often shied away from go-to baskets and choked on must have late 4th quarter shots. He occassionally makes some but isn't a consistent closer in the last 60 seconds like Wade or Rose. He's more about trying not to lose and avoiding getting blamed for it imo. Most of his great performances recently put his team ahead before the last minute or two but he's yet to become a cut-throat offensive player in the final possessions of a game.
