The only "foreigner" working at my Sams club is from Puerto Rico and is here for Managment training. He was transferred out here by Walmart. The rest of the people in my club are "Americans".

Walmart is the 2nd largest employer in the US. 2nd only to the US govt.

My club sells local chip brands, local produce, local candy, local hot dogs and lunchmeat, local water and ice brands... donates all unsold fresh bakery goods to the local shelters... I really dont see where youre coming from.

didn't you get the memo? its the "in" thing to do today. Hate wal-mart because it runs little mom&pop stores out of business and the people that work at wal-mart get crappy health care.

even though the reason people do not shop at those shops anymore is because they are more expensive and generally don't carry as much. Not to mention the people that work there (usually family making MIN wage) rarely get health care etc.

Though wal-mart has done some bad things besides that. like building on sacred ground, hiring a bunch of illegal immigrants etc it is still a good store.

Though after Sam Walton died the store has changed. they used to be a big one for Buying US first. Now they just get it from whoever is cheapest.

when all 4 of us (my wife drinks almost no milk) are home, we use 2-4 gallons a week
if i go out of town for a couple days, the same gallon is still there when i get home. i drink at least half of the milk we consume

we usually buy milk at Costco, it is about $0.20 cheaper than Walmart

Convenience. These days I patronize Wal-mart for one purpose and it is to buy ammo for my guns. Conveniently, it's on the right side of the road on the way to the range, so I don't even have to make a left-hand turn!

heh yeah we drink a LOT of milk also. we used to get it deliverd (taste way better) but was more expensive then store baught.

I wish there was a Costco around here. Sams club is 20 minutes away. wal-mart is 15.
