Why do you wash your car?

I don't wash mine right now cause they are working on my road and it's dirt right now.

So when a car goes by, it coats my car with a layer of dust.

My car is supposed to be black, but it's light grey now.

I haven't washed my car in 3 years and don't think I ever will. It is not worthy of a good washing. I drive a black 88 Ford Taurus aka: A POS! I'm sure if I decided to wash it someday, I'd find out its real color is red.

i think your paint job will suffer from the dirt. so you wash it off so your paint job doesn't get messed up.

in the end, it will help your resale value and ppl will think more highly of you if your car looks clean.

Washing a car protects the finish, and it prevents corrosion. Cars that are washed frequently rust less and last longer.

because i care about how my car looks. all the money spent on that thing, i want it kept looking as nice as possible for as long as possible. i do NOT enjoy driving a dark green car with a layer of brown dust on it.

bird crap will also start to mess up the paint i've heard. another reason why i try to keep the car as clean as possible.

After getting our car washed hubby and I always notice how great the car looks. It always reminds me of how gorgeous the car looked on the day we bought it....firepepper ruby red (Honda Accord Special Edition). We want to keep our car in the best condition as possible.

My car is black. It practically lives at the car wash.

I absolutely love how my car looks after I take it to the local hands free car wash. Granted, it costs me about $12 to get it washed there, but I wouldn't imagine getting it washed elsewhere.

My dad just bought an SUV... so it's blocking the whole driveway... with my car being the oldest... meaning a POS... it's left outside because everyone else is lazy to move every freakin car in and out... every morning my cars is soaked in mildew... id wash but it'll just be dirty again the next night...

Because in the winter time they throw so much salt on the roads here, I'd have rust holes in no time if I didn't wash my car. Plus since its nice and new, I still love how it looks....

Because its fun. Nothing like cooling down on a summer day, cleaning your car. The winter sucks, I seem to be cleaning my car every week to get the salt off. $5 at the local car wash. I can't wait till it gets warmer so I can do it myself...

i just washed my car today. i live in southern california so it doesnt rain much. it only gets dirty if i park in areas with lots of trees because of dust and bird crap. for some reason, when my car is clean, i feel as if it performs better and faster. its also nice to have good clear visibility on the windows. when its clean, there is no corrossion to the paint from bird crap, and you can put stuff on the car without having the dirt scratch the paint.

a clean car can make a first impression on someones personality or habits

I live about 2 miles off the tar road, so I figure it isn't such a big deal. I washed it the other day because of all the road salt on it. Normally though since I live on a dirt road it would get dirty before I get to the tar road.

I wash it when it is covered in salt, or I have to worry about leaving mud chunks on the road.
