HOWEVER, after doing some searching for "R600, africa, AMD, ATI, launch", I came up empty. So, if this is accurate information, the INQ is the only one who has it as of a couple of hours ago. So, your guess is as good as anyone else's.

If funny how many of you are completely ignorant of how incredibly glaring the difference between Mediterranean and sub-saharan Africa is, not to mention distance-wise.


Cheap yet pretty and historic place to have ones venue is why ATI is doing it there. Spain(Ibiza) is getting expensive. Now lets not have a comparisons labeling ATI as the Carthaginians as last I checked Nvidia's not having any events in Rome.

Do you really think any of us KNOW why AMD chose to launch in Africa? TBH I think it'd be a piss poor place to launch a product... I'm not sure of statistical figures but I can assure you that the entire continent of Africa purchases less video cards than the United States.
