Friends just randomly come through windows all the time to wake people up? What the in the holy hell are you talking about? lol

Who said randomly? You act as if people are perfect. Have you ever been to a college community? Get your head out of your ass.

Indeed, everyone is a grown adult.. News at 11 in fantasy land? :sneaky:

Anyway yes, ID before blasting away was my point. But then again, why would YOU have to ID anyone if no one you could possible know would do anything like that?

I dont know, possibly because a warning is a humane and moral thing to do? Unless you've got an itchy trigger finger ot your protecting your family. Becuse it simply cant be possible that someone you know/lives there, tried to wake you up, couldent, so tries to come in through the window, then gets shot in the head because you were too much a fucking asshole to toss a warning while you were hiding like an idiot.

That could never happen!

One of the four rules of firearms is identify your target and what's beyond it. You must ID the target before firing. If your in my home and I don't know you I've ID'd my target and will fire, immediately, within a few seconds of identifying you and verifying you as a legit target.

This is what training is for. You don't have to think, just do. Once the weapon is pointed at you the shot is going to come very quickly. Because another rule is don't let the muzzle cover anything you aren't willing to destroy. That means if it's pointed at you i'm totally fine and prepared to destroy it.

wow..

can i honestly ask out of who that posted has really taken someone's life?

Because even cops have to go though months of therapy when there involved in a gun fight where a life is taken.

You guys really think when you looking at someone with a loaded gun, pulling the trigger is that easy the first time?

I've killed over 40,000 animals. I don't think I'd have a problem adding one more.

Your question is silly of course when everyday someone defends their life and home or business with a firearm.

well i was hoping the ones who did it legally could comment.

Like military, or law enforcement.
Or someone who really did shoot someone on self defense.

I'm sure it sucks. That's why you ID, and even though in castle law states you don't have to, I'm making sure it's a threat to life situation. That's just me others may feel different.

Correct about the castle laws. No threat of of danger or life needed. If they are in your house at all you are free to kill them. No duty to retreat, no warning, no nothing. Once they cross the threshold into your home by one single inch you may kill them by any means. And the beauty is by law you can't be charged or held liable in civil court! Pure win.

Depends on state of course but most states have castle doctrines and more states are adding them. The 5 "funny" states probably never will.
