Found elsewhere;

A U.S. Navy Admiral was attending a naval conference that included

Admirals from the U.S., English, Canadian, Australian and French Navies.

At a cocktail reception, he found himself standing with a large group of
officers that included personnel from most of the countries.

Everyone was chatting away in English as they sipped their drinks but a
French admiral suddenly complained that, whereas Europeans learn many languages, Americans learn only English.

He then asked "Why is it that we always have to speak English in these conferences rather than speaking French?"

Without hesitating, the American Admiral replied "Maybe it's because
the Brits, Canadians, Aussies and Americans arranged it so you wouldn't
have to speak German."

You could have heard a pin drop!!

I don't hate France, but I do think Paris has the rudest people on the planet. I've been to many places and Paris is the ONLY one that I really despise. It's tough to justify their terrible behavior just because they have something cool like the Eiffel tower.

When I was there I took 2 elevators to the top of the Eiffel tower. I then proceeded to take a dump over the city...of course it was in the bathroom.... But not many people can say they did THAT!

I like France, but am not a very big fan of Paris. I didn't think the people were rude, but I can definitely tell that they have a different culture. I think a lot of americans are ignorant of their culture and consider them to be rude, when they are simply not as "warm" as we are. Part of it is most-likely the language barrier and overall hatred towards tourists in general.
