Why does mY PC restart

I dunno whenever i play games, my PC suddenly restarts! theres a breif voltage flicker and then the reboot...Wots wrong?

Sounds like a flaky PSU though we will need more info to say for sure...

What specific hardware do you have? Tried measuring the PSU line voltages with something like MBM (Motherboard Monitor)?

It could be hardware or software.
When on Win 98 four months,during a game,there would be a brief flicker and it would go back to windows.
Now I`m on Win2000 and it never happens

my motherboard is an intel d845gebv2/d845pesv

intel p4 1.8
256MB ram
40Gigs HD
Win XP pro

My normal win speeds are around 40 C in the processor zone...Guess thats OK where room emps exceed 30.
