Why does nVidia seem to have so many compatibility issues while 3dfx just sails along?

?? It's certainly not faster than a Radeon or GTS, and even a GeForce DDR ownz it sometimes.

ok, lets NOT get into a 3dfx sucks argument, whether it's becuase they use twice the RAM/Chips, etc.

now, I have to say this. Benskywalker, I'm sure that they DO have the ability to understand the double, and now Quad pumping (for the V5) of the AGP port. they don't necessarily understand anything else. BTW, I have my AGP port (which has a V3 in it) on 2x, how do I know whether it's actually running 2x, even though the BIOS says it is?

NFS4, have you seen the benchmarks that I posted in the video forum?

The Q3 benchmarks are very comparable to the GTS and Radeon.

I sure hope AnandTech reviews the new drivers, as they do when nVidia has a significant driver update.

To those of you debating how 3dfx cards do in AGP slots, you can read Anandtech's review. There is no speed difference between the two types of cards.
