Alright I'm going to reseat the video card and sacrifice the appropriate ritualistic animals tonight but I still have not been able to kill this monitor bug. I hooked my new Dell (I know, I know I sold out...) up to an old POS monitor that I have from when 166 was fast just to see if it was the card or the monitor and naturally the adapter (NVIDIA 32mb 2MX) freaks out, doesn't recognize it, and disables the refresh adjust...and the picture is fine. Same resolution 1024X768 as my Ultrascan P991. So I hook my monitor back up to it without killing the computer, turn it on... and no flicker. Of course the refresh rate adjustment is still disabled so I reboot to see if the problem is really gone. ME restarts and the screen flickers during boot up but when ME pops up its a stable image. It's also at 60Hz. If I push it over 60 the flicker returns. When I hook up the Ultrascan to my old 166Pentium the screen flickers during boot but is fine in windows (of course it's probably also at 60hz by default with the POS card I have in there.) Is there any reason to think that I don't need to boot the Monitor back to Dell. Is this even possibly a card issue? Is there anything else I should check?
