Because, clearly the Spiderman movies didn't print fucking gold for Sony...
Hell, even Punisher made money ($55m vs a $35m budget).
I don't fucking care how much money they made, they all pretty much sucked
Marvel sold the rights to spiderman. Explains why he is technically an avenger but not in any avengers movies.or any of the spiderman movies

(though Defoe in the first one is mustard for the whole series)
Yeah, they do. :\ Honestly, I'm not sure why. His character doesn't really come across as this conflicted individual... he just comes across as a petulant, whiny child that is prone to tantrums.
Thinking about it... don't the worst Marvel movies usually involve some silly, contrived dance scene? Spider-Man 3 had the silly emo Peter dance scene. Fantastic Four 2 had the silly Mr. Fantastic club dance scene. Iron Man 2 had the silly birthday party dance scene (more like watermelon skeet shooting, but close enough! ).
EDIT:
What exactly do you mean. Are you saying that you like the fact that they turned Killian -- who wasn't much more than a woman scorned -- into a villain, or that they were willing to change The Mandarin. ...and I haven't seen the one shot, because I won't pay anything more than $5 for the Iron Man 3 Blu-ray... maybe $8 if I'm feeling really good. Although, I do own Iron Man 2, so I can't say much. :\
Ben Kingsley reprises his role as Slattery in the Marvel One-Shot short All Hail the King.[57] In this film, Slattery is an inmate at Seagate Prison being interviewed by Jack Norriss, a filmmaker documenting his life. However, in a plot twist, it is revealed that Norriss is a member of the real Ten Rings organization led by the original user of the Mandarin mantle, and that they are angered by Killian and Slattery making a mockery of their beliefs. He kidnaps Slattery from the prison, telling him that the real Mandarin wants to meet him.
I actually haven't seen any of the Christopher Reeve's superman movies, but the past 2 Superman movies I did not like very much. I much prefer Smallville, lot of depth into the development of Superman. Man of Steel gave me very little of that, as someone said earlier, the scenes with Johnathan Kent and Jor El were good, and him discovering himself was good, but the fight scenes left me bored.
All you need to know about Superman 2 was if you work for a company as a software developer, you can have fractions of a cent, rather than being rounded off, put into a separate account you own and make a ton of money. At least, according to Office Space.

Warner Brothers turns them all into dark, brooding characters in dark, brooding worlds. The movies are depressing. The early Batman movies and the Superman movies were awful. The Batman movies were filmed in a manner to suggest that the producers were pressed for cash and decided to skimp on the light bill. Super heroes should be a bit more fun.
I'm 99% sure you're mixing up 2 with 3.. 3 had Pryor playing the dev. Superman 2 had Zod.
