I read this and looked at the post previous that read " For example: don't support gay marriage, you're a bigot; hold personal religious beliefs, you're an anti-science fundamentalist; don't support socialized healthcare, you hate the poor; don't support political correctness and affirmative action, you're a racist; etc" and it is obvious some people get it while others dont.

I am that moderate mainstream the uber-liberals are alienating out of the Democratic party.

My primary political emphasis has always been civil liberties. So, in the past, I would vote Democrat while recoiling in horror from Republican fascist policies. But, in recent years, the Democrats have become every bit the enemies of Civil Liberties as have been the Republicans. Thus, I am displaced. Whither shall I go? That you don't care, that you would only think of me a traitor by not toeing the party line, etc. is only further evidence of the misguided direction the Democratic party is taking. Face it, the Dems have become the mirror image of their enemies -- anti-freedom fascists -- "Freedom will not be tolerated here."

Mainly we need to get government out of our lives, but it seems rather impossible when everyone wants it to be thier arbitrator.
