Debating the skin tone of an individual who may or may not have existed thousands of years ago is out there even by AT standards.

Only if you read a single verse and leave it at that. Which is what most people do to MAKE it support their arguements. The Bible only has one meaning, and you find that one by contrasting that one verse with all the others. The entire chapter, not one verse. It changes the whooooooole thing to have only a single meaning.

Actually no, it applies to everything we digest, it's all relative. Our subconcious interprets it as it best suits our concious. You could, if so inclined, interpret Homer's Odyssey as being accurately prophetic.

What about the prophecies of L Ron Hubbard? By the Scientologist's account the prophecies came true. There are some people who firmly believe in the prophecies of Nostradamus, and that they've all come true so far. What's the difference between these people and Christians believing in the Bible's prophecy? There is none, they all see things as it suits them. In one way or another any premonition can come true if you believe hard enough.

Regardless of fact or fiction. The Bible teaches people about what life was like thousands of years ago. While it is very interesting, it has very little bearing in the Cell Phone, Computer, Over populated world we live in today. Too many wars have been fought over beliefs that can never be proven, things haven't changed much in that respect. Believe what you will, just because others don't agree with you, doesn't make your beliefs any less viable. Let it be.

Actually, (as of last year) they still didn't know if the Shroud was real or not. They did carbon dating on it, and it said it was from the 14th century, but the results of the carbon dating are still in dispute. I did a quick search and found an interesting article here.

I would say it is more realistic that he was of &quot;arabic&quot; mationality
