Red fills a niche. Every neighborhood has that one crotchety old geezer that everyone loves but nobody invites over for parties. ("We just don't want a scene.") Then you get the new people on the block who can't/won't deal with him and call upon the neighborhood committee to oust him.

If the new neighbors succeed in getting Red ousted, or if he caves in to the neighborhood bully (as it appears to have happened), I'll volunteer to be his successor. You'll have to bear with me as it'll take some time to hone my barbs. I can practice in front of the mirror...I'll just combine the personality of Al Bundy with the attitude of David Spade.

I believe it holds the honor of being the first ever PG-13 movie. ATOT's Red is R all the way, though!

I don't know about Tex, but when I poke fun at someone and they don't respond I usually leave them alone after awhile. If people don't react to a dig or a flame of mine then it's the same as saying " Your comment isn't even worth consideration" Now you can post it but then you have shown that you already given it consideration. Maybe that's why Tex continues to call someone a gutless Coward when they ignore him because he wants a response. Without a response he's sitting there looking like a penny waiting for change... well at least that's my take on it. Of course the fact that I always responded to Tex's comments meant that I thought they were worth consideration.. of course most of the time I considered them ignorant or foolish as he did mine. However, there are also many issues we agree on.. or partially agree on, we just won't admit it. That either makes me stupid or him smart. I would like to think it's the latter.

Man just think how you are hurting Harvey's feelings by saying I'm an old man . He's 13 years older than me.. Oh God.. 13 more years and I'll be 60. Of course then it will be cool to be 60. As long as there are more of us than you we'll always be cooler. I think we knew that when we supported Birth Control and Zero Population Growth. We weren't concerned about over population, we just wanted to make sure we were always at the top of the Food Chain.. which in this case the Target age group for the advertizers. We were the Hippies, then the Disco Idiots, then the Yuppies , then the Soccer moms and now the Dependies. You guys will always be the disenfrachised Generation. I used to get so emotional getting flamed by the goat just to get flamed by a gaggle of RD supporters when I shot back.

I later learned to realize that we have a few things in common and that he's generally OK...kinda like that one dog that's left in the pound
