What the hell is with people and this thing? It's pretty expensive just for one cup of coffee. ($150 machine, each k-cup is like $0.75...)
you cherry picked the pricier machines AND kcups, good job
I'll see your frech press and raise you an aero-press.
Don't worry, a true connoisseur wouldn't touch a k-cup with a 20 foot pole. K-cup lovers are the same people that love Starbucks. Yuck.
LOL true connoisseur, or some jackhole with too much time on his hands
I love coffee, especially a good dark brew, but I drink folgers black silk daily, because well, I can't justify spending 5+ bucks a day to drink coffee.
switching to an aero press soon when my wife has to stop drinking coffee, and will probably buy a burr grinder to go with it and start getting real beans again in bulk.
that being said, I've had my share of kcups, never bought a machine, the price per cup was too high and it was inconvenient when I drink 4 or 5 cups of coffee
not the greatest sure, but not bad, and considering the convenience, not a bad tradeoff
There's really nothing new about this - Gillette figured out the business model something over 100 years ago. Sell a fast and easy to use but somewhat inferior product for a bit more, and change up the base system every other decade or so. The combination of "easy" and "good enough" tends to make a lot of money.
Of course, I stick to safety razors and pressed coffee, so what do I know?
50's style double edge safety razors here......spending 3 bucks a month on razor blades is awesome
