Is the game that deep to cost that much? I don't remember Portal 1 costing that much...could be wrong though.
Because suckers will pay it. This is one of those time people should speak with their wallets, but they won't. There's a lot of die hard Portal fans out there.
One of the best things about the original was it's perfect length. It didn't overstay it's welcome.
I think it will get shit if they try and drag it out for 10 - 15 hrs.
Unless it goes all Half-Life in the middle with guns and shit.
If you paid attention you will see the purpose of this thread is to discuss WHY the freakin game is 45 dollars.
If you wanna pay 45 bucks for a 3 hour game maybe you should be in the console forum.
I heard it is $45 cause it is coming packaged with Episode 3.

If it has a full length story (which I guess is only 10-15 hours by today's standards), it should be worth the price tag. The original Portal was quite short, so if this is at least 3x the length (without throwing in BS fillers), I'll be willing to pay the price.
Portal was a great game. As long as they've innovated with this one (more than just switching up the puzzles and throwing in a couple of new obstacle types), it should be loads of fun.
that's what it said in my pre-order e-mail from steam - but I'm waiting for a preview before i put my cash down.
