Casually browsing the Facebook and run across this gem:

Apparently a male with a wedding ring on is grounds for declaring that he is cheating on his wife. Seriously? What the fuck is wrong with this generation? I don't care what it is, if it's something as casual as a lunch on a week-day you are just an insecure idiot to immediately assume he wants to cheat on his wife.

I have to take clients out to lunch all the time, I've also had higher management that was also a female take me out to lunch as well. I never felt the need to notify my wife that I had a casual lunch with another woman. If your wife is always wondering whom you are having lunch with, than she is clearly incredibly insecure. But obviously this is a step past that and into crazy social retard.

Am I just crazy here? I think things like this are why most people can't respect feminism, and why things like "Safe Spaces" now exist...

I think you are going a bit overboard. Sounds like this guy was pestering this woman beyond simply asking her to have "lunch" with him. IMO It is pretty damn weird for a married guy to be bringing a single chick coffee and asking her out to lunch all the time, particularly as it is apparent that she is not friends with him. If they were friends, she would have no problem with it.

As for the safe space crap - I concur with you. I have a hard time thinking of anything more representative of the pussification of our youth.

I'm conflicted on this. On the one hand I'm thinking about how the generation before me wouldn't bat an eye at going out to dinner if they are married in a professional setting, like the OP is saying.

Then again getting coffee specifically for her is kind of creeps.

As usual you only get a skewed version of one side of the story on FB so we don't have enough information.

I think the internet as a medium makes people WAY too judgmental to a ridiculous degree. Both people critiquing the OP who miss the point and the girl complaining so much. Doesn't sound like she refused the coffee. So dumb.

1) Every generation thinks that the generation younger than them is the most retarded ever. It's been that way since the dawn of time. As we grow up and accept the yoke of responsibility we get jealous towards those that don't have to grow up yet.

2) He was definitely trying to get into her pants, she wasn't imagining it. Yes, it's possible for people of opposite genders to be friends and to have social interaction over coffee. But the way he approached it he might as well have handed her a key to a motel room with the coffee. Uber creepy.
