Why isn't Clinton in jail?

There are a hundred reasons he should be in jail, but he's not because he's Clinton. At least he's a registered sex offender in his home state and has been disbarred...now we just have to get rid of his endlessly annoying wife.

I first posted back in 1998 in OT because of a thread bashing Reagan...that was 9+ years after he had held office.

Clinton deserves at least equal treatment!

He broke more laws than 99% of our prison population.

Why do any of you care? Did anything Clinton did have a negative effect on your life? What's the problem? Bill Clinton is as American as apple pie, kids. If you don't like it, perhaps you should step back and take a look at the country he represented. He was just like you and me. Maybe you're too much of a chickensh|t/dumbass to admit it, but Clinton was a good president, an average human being, and a poor liar. Affairs? Who gives a fvck - Republicans only. Pardons? All of them do that. Bribes? All of them do that. Lying? All of them do that.

Yes. I was on active duty (still am) the entire clinton presidency. His effect on morale was indescribably (sp) bad. People had to be ordered to talk to him when he visited commands. He was so universally hated in the military that the service chiefs had to put out a message reminding us that it was against the UCMJ to bad mouth the CnC. He is a POS.

Please tell us why. I'd love to hear it. We all have different things that are important to us, thus we will all come to different conclusions. I won't argue with your priorities, but at least let us see what makes you think Clinton was so bad.

Here are things that I think are important:
1) Economy had the longest growth period ever.
2) Crime dropped drastically from the late 80's early 90's.
3) Much less tean pregnancy than in recent history. (Same goes for teen sex and teen abortions.)
4) Percent of people in poverty dropped.
5) US debt actually started to decrease.
6) We won all of our minor wars. And avoided any major wars.
7) The vast majority of people say they are better off in 2000 than they were ten years before.

Most presidents couldn't get even 2 of 7. Clinton got all seven. Thus I highly doubt he is the worst president ever.

Well during his terms, he was up against a bunch of whining RatpubliKans that helped take the spotlight away from Billy Boy. Compared to petty politicians like Trent Lott and the rest of the Republican scum, Clinton's slim didn't look as revolting as some say it was. Now that there is a Good Old Boy in the White House their whining has died down and they aren't as noxious as they were during Clinton's regime.
You can bet though as soon as a Democrat takes the White House back you'll see unsurpassed bellyaching and partisanship that actually makes the Democrats look like amateurs when it comes to sniveling.

I have a feeling Mr. C's administration will be remembered as a troubled one. His best cheerleaders can only claim "times were generally good" but can't really tie C. directly to that feeling.

Fifty years from now history books will probably only talk about the numerous scandals and corruption issues. All of it was Clinton's fault. Hopefully history will record how overzealous some Rs were in prosecuting C. but again why was there something to procescute to begin with?

Clinton is not in jail because he was a former president. Simple as that.
