Why isn't DCDDR working for me?

Specs:

ABIT IC7
2x512MB PC3200 (one is Buffalo BH-5, other is Crucial Micron - maybe this is the problem?)
2.4C SL6WF

No matter where I put the 2 sticks of RAM, it won't give me DCDDR. I WANT DCDDR!!! :|

Are you putting one stick on each of the memory channels? Perhaps you have both sticks on one controller?

1+3, 2+4, 1+2, 2+3, 3+4, 1+4. None of them give me DCDDR though...pisses me off. Maybe I have to have the exact SAME RAM? Like crucial/micron + crucial/micron? If that's the case thenI'll be selling my BH-5. Any takers??

generally they say that they have to be the same chip density and layout.... if one is 32Mx16 and the other is 128Mx4 then dual channel will not work ....they have to match.

It sounds like you already did find out, using the reality method. Yeah, grab another module of one or the other, and sell off the spare. Your rig will be much happier
