according to glenn beck, 'progressivism' is bad. i thought progress was good?
Cat food tastes like cat food
Or religious liberals?? :hmm:
Big surprise. A known evolutionist, who is likely also liberal and/or atheistic in his views, suddenly comes out with a "study" saying that, shockingly, liberals and atheists are smarter!!
I only hope that he got funding for this so-called "study", and suddenly finds himself presented with a bill for return of payment due to lack of research performed.
Liberals aren't more intelligent, they are just more arrogant and therefore believe themselves to be more intelligent.

The day liberals and atheists become more intelligent is the day that the world ends.
Actually if you had bothered to read the article linked you know the authors of the study identified themselves as either a Conservative or a Libertarian.Sounds like the someone just needed affirmation for themselves.
What is an "evolutionist?" This label assumes there is some other reality out there (meaning there must be a competing "-ist" that denies evolution).
In fact, there is no other reality.
<logic facepalm>Prove that there is no other reality please.
Missed that. Where did it say that Satoshi Kanazawa was a Conservative/Libertarian?Actually if you had bothered to read the article linked you know the authors of the study identified themselves as either a Conservative or a Libertarian.
Let's see, I'm not religious, I am fairly centrist in my politics with a bit of a liberal bias but I don't vote strictly along party lines, and I have been in a faithful, loving relationship with the same woman for almost 2 decades now.

Am I completely retarded or did everyone just completely misconstrue what the article actually said? It didn't say that liberals or atheists are smarter, it said intelligent people tend to be liberals and atheists; there's still plenty of idiots who are liberals and atheists, and there are smart people who are religious and conservative. But how is this any surprise? Haven't college campuses, for example, always been more intelligent, more liberal and less religious?
