I don't understand how people even need the mild or medium salsas. It must be weird for the "hot" salsa to be too much. I'm not exactly some spice fiend either. I usually don't venture much past habaneros (though I grew some ghost peppers this summer... i'm not the type to eat them or hotter peppers whole though).

I love cooking with habaneros. Any dish that calls for some spice, I’m substituting habanero peppers.

Habaneros have really good flavor too. Habaneros, bird's eye, and serrano peppers are my favorites to use for cooking flavor wise.

I went to the store to buy coffee and it's all medium roast. Maybe one or two items of dark or light roast and no whole bean.

How did medium roast get chosen?
At my local Costco, only two brands are medium roast. Everything else is dark roast. I only buy medium roast as it's easy to drink and the beans are not as oily so it's easier on my automatic espresso machine .

I prefer mild or medium salsas. I always get the mild sauce at Taco Bell.

Is that a preference thing, or say Taco Bell's fire sauce being too overpoweringly spicy for you? I'm more talking about people like my sister who legitimately can't handle something like the fire sauce.

Midwesterners... A friend of mine from Wisconsin thinks rotel is very hot, and he once made chili extra spicy to suit my tastes. I'm not certain there was any pepper in it :^D

Preference. To me, mild, medium, hot, and fire sauce all have the same heat level. None. The only thing I can taste is the salt level. Fire sauce is just extra salty and not hot. So I get the mild.

Yeah, I can see that. Maybe I should try the other ones next time I'm there. I always grab the fire, but the spice level is basically irrelevant.

I'm pretty cool with Wisconsinites. I even like some of the food, but wouldn't want an exclusive diet of it.

Yeah, it depends on where you are in Wisconsin though. The small town I grew up had basically nothing outside of fast food chains. I won't argue about lack of food options there. Madison has more options though. Plus you can make w/e you want at home lol.

I like a medium-dark roast. Full dark roast tends to destroy the flavors. Here's a video:
