Why no USB 3.0 Camcorders yet?

Does anyone know why there aren't any USB 3.0 camcorders yet? I want to be able to live stream from the camcorder to a laptop and it seems like the only way to do this STILL is using Firewire. However, it is getting harder and harder to find laptops with Firewire ports.

Anyone know why this is? It seems like a no-brainer for a camcorder company to start making camcorders that at least give you the option of USB 3.0 streaming live streaming. Is there some technical reason why this won't work? Or are camcorder companies just dragging their feet?

Thanks!

i don't ever see usb streaming video. i don't think it can reliably maintain the throughput needed.

You can always add a 1394 ExpressCard to most laptops. Lenovos have Firewire. Camcorder links are designed for off loading and transferring, not streaming.

Hey Corky - thanks - I've looked at that option... a lot of computers are not including ExpressCard slots anymore. I wanted a computer that was reasonably light (5ish pounds and under) and had a good graphics card with a decent resolution screen (greater than 768 verticle which is not a decent resolution even if they do call it "HD"). The Dell XPS 15z fits...but doesn't have Firewire or ExpressCard. So does the Sony Vaio S.
The closest I've found is the Lenovo T420...but I just wish they had a slightly better graphics upgrade option. Lots of other 14inch laptops have better graphics, so I don't think its a size issue...
If there were USB 3.0 camcorders...I could pick any computer on the market because they are all starting to include USB3.0 ports.
Any truth to the reliability claim from TheBlackBox? Is that the issue?

USB2.0 maxes out at 480Mbps, where H.264 in most implementations is 24Mbps. There`s technically more than enough BW for the 2.0 spec to handle it. Whether the controller is up to snuff is another question. But it`s technically possible.
