I was going through some of my oldest files trying to clean up one of my external hard drives when I came across this little gem of a video.

anyone else remember this? the music's actually tolerable with this video imo

Now living in Italy I can appreciate and kind of relate to how these guys drive. lots of twists, turns, downshifting all over... crazy Italian drivers!

I got to cut my teeth on this road my first week here!

I'd rather watch a blank wall than NASCAR. At least that way I can use my imagination without irritating noise in the background.

Personally, while I like Rally driving, I prefer LeMans series racing (IMSA's ALMS in the US, or Britcar in the UK, for example). Endurance racing will always have a special place in my heart. Nothing like racing for 24 hours and having 2-4 drivers in one car.

Go fast, turn left on a perfectly oval track. It's more exciting to watch traffic on the main highway through Toronto. More crashes too. ^_^

And you like many people here that like to bash nascar have no idea what is involved with the sport. Yes, 99% of the fans of beer drinking rednecks and the cars are antiquated carb'd cars. But that doesn't mean the drivers are not highly skilled and the competition is intense. There is a reason that drivers that are top tear drivers in other disciplines struggle at best in nascar. Nope, I am not saying nascar drivers are the best in the world. They would struggle just as much going to another discipline, the point is that they are not a bunch of backward fools that can't drive. If it's so easy go out and show them how to do it and you will be a millionaire next week.

no arguments that they are skilled at what they do, but it's still boring as shit.

Agreed the drivers are skilled (I do find it hilarious that they bring in ringers for the road courses), but 500 miles of turning left is damn boring. The only reason I watch is for the crashes. I also agree that WRC is the best form of motor sport. Followed by Touring Cars, V8 SuperCars and F1 all being about equal. WRC doesn't have a set track like the others do, so even with pace notes there's no guarantee that the "track" is what they think it is. BTW, down with Loeb, go Petter!

I do remember the video.. I love it!

Rally and BTCC are the best.

BTCC is better only because coverage is tolerable, and its exciting to watch on TV.
