is my monitor so expensive!!! I want to set up dual monitors and want to have matching monitors...cheapest i can find is close to 500 shipped off ebay. i dont understand...its a Dell 2007wfp 20".....this poses a problem cuz i only paid 25 bucks for it at a garage sale....

If there's a university near you, it's possible they'll have bunches of those at their property disposition center. These centers are frequently open to the public and it would probably cost you less than $100. Make sure to test that it is fully functional before you buy, as there are probably no exchanges or refunds.

If it's a 20" monitor you bought for $25, but sells for $500 on eBay, sell it on eBay and buy two matching $250 monitors.

Agreed, I mean if I bought anything used for $25, and it ended up being worth $500, I'd just sell it and keep the $475 profit?

You can always buy two matching monitors. Just because you have an existing monitor, you shouldn't go on a wild goose chase to try to match it. Instead, get rid of that goose and buy two swans.

It is because the monitor is an S-IPS monitor without input lag. The pixel refresh rate or whatever is around 6-12ms which was actually really fast for an IPS monitor without the pixel acceleration technology (which adds input lag). It is also my last monitor that I've bought where the stand really actually felt sturdy.


I still own one and use mine. I'm really surprised you were able to find one for $25, that's an incredible deal.

Finding a bargain on ebay is a rare event these days, and discontinued monitors rarely depreciate in price if you're buying on the web.

Best bet is to try classified sections of various boards, or a university as someone else mentioned.
