More spin there (from 2012) than any sane person can deal with without getting dizzy and vomiting their breakfast.

It's easy, gun sales went up because state and municipal legislation was actively being passed to take away citizens' rights to buy guns, specifically "scary" ones. Obama, a known opponent to firearm ownership, was elected as president so people panicked and bought more, and that includes ammo. It's no more complicated than that, really.

I have to say, I'm genuinely curious.

Moonie's nuts: salty or sweet?

Of course you are curious and have sexual feelings toward me but you really shouldn't tell people about it. Just as you are a poster boy for the conservative brain defect you also evince the fact of the close connection in the brain between sex and violence. When certain neurons in your hypothalamus get stimulated when I walk into a thread you become confused as to whether you are supposed to fight or mate and as a compromise you fanaticize about my balls because you instinctively recognize I have them a plenty. Normally these feelings are moderated by the frontal lobes but you are in short supply there. You should therefore try to remember these things with other parts of your brain that may not be so defective so you don't embarrass yourself publically as one who can't help but respond as one of the lower animals.

My fashion model wife tells me they are sweet.

Thanks Moonie, I needed to laugh this morning.

Have you ever applied for a spot on Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee?

You definitely have a dizzying gift for seeing the simple truth of things and allowing others to do the vomiting. The conservative brain defect is characterized by a need for certainty and an incapacity to deal with shades of gray. It's called 'low level thinking', very good for running up a tree with you see a tiger or Moonbeam, but not so good for critical thinking.

Don't get upset. These are just facts gleaned by neuroscientists that study such things. You don't want to go and turn fact into some sort of an imagined insult. That would also be typical of the same brain defect.

A person with a brain defect like that might start off dealing with information he didn't like by telling the source his or her words want to make you vomit. Of course they do. They awaken your inner sickness and the nasty bullying response so typical of your ilk.

No, you really do need to laugh. You need to laugh more than you now imagine. But you are not laughing, you are trying to ridicule and you see what ridicule does to you. You ridicule somebody and I ridicule you and now you ridicule me. You are trapped on the wheel of Karma. The only one between you and I that sees that is me. Only I can step off. You are my sock puppet and can't. I have you, dare I say it, by the balls. I have a microscope and tweezers, you see.

Which is it, you dipshit? Do you want us making fun of you for being a liar and a hypocrite, or do you want us discussing your attention "topic" du jour? I know you have a compulsive need to abuse anyone whom you might disagree with, due to your own warped perspective and limited intelligence, but make up your fucking mind. Okay? :\

Does that mean that Moonbeam or someone in his life not only has a conservative brain but one that's defective? After all one creates what they fear or hate. Could this also be the basis his self hate?

Lol, if anyone ever doubted moonbeam was a troll, direct them to this post.

Moonbeam, this is an internet forum. You have no one by the balls, and the fact that you think you do is pathetic. Also, you compulsively post here on a daily basis, contribute nothing of value and just beg for attention with every post. So if you can "step off" this cycle of ridicule you apparently don't wish to. All evidence says you're as trapped as you're projecting onto Terry.

You're clearly living out some power fantasy here, because online reality can't come along and smack you in the face as easily. In real life your views simply don't exist.

And like all other posts, you'll pervert this one to feed your power fantasy as well. I don't care how well off you might be, your life must be a truly miserable one for you to behave this way. I used to compulsively post as well, here and elsewhere; but my efforts at least attempted to say something of worth. Even attempting to say something of worth I was a miserable wreck in those days. To be so inane and so uncaring you must be on a much deeper level of misery. Probably one you've rationalized quite extensively at this point.

You're your own cycle of self-abuse moonbeam, and you have my pity and what little help I can offer; although I am wary that you would simply abuse such help if given.

Just know that when I read any of your posts in this thread I see a self-cutter.

Who's the one who is trapped? I mentioned your name and you came running as though I rubbed your lamp.

I'm getting bored with you for now though. Let me know when you come up with some new material ok?

Which is it? Could you use your conservative brain defect and simplify it down to two options for me please. I call you a simpleton and right off the bat you have to prove it. Geez, no wonder you have no capacity for self reflection. I think I heard in some old musical retrospective somewhere a song entitled, if I remember correctly, 'How much is that donkey in the window?'. Now I know it can be had very cheaply. Just show it a stick and watch it bray.

Most definitely OK. I will stick with my usual material and never hear from you again. This is really my lucky day. But I know you are a liar. You'll say something so incredibly stupid to somebody in some thread somewhere, I'll comment on that fact and it will be all out war again. You have a very serious and dangerous disease and it's a lot harder to cure than you think. We'll know you're closer when you grovel and beg my forgiveness.

Now now, calm down. I don't need it personally, I love you just as you are, sort of, but that will be the attitude it will take for real change to occur. But trust me, it will be worth it. Stripped of your childish ego, you will be a wonderful person. Trust me on that too. I know because I am. See, laughter means laughing at yourself not other people.

The Moonbeam personality would be easy to replicate into a bot, since he's so predictable. Just copy the phrases into a spreadsheet, grouping them by; ego, hate, and psychobabble. Then randomly select however many you want from each category, depending on the post you're replying to.

Does that mean that Moonbeam or someone in his life not only has a conservative brain but one that's defective? After all one creates what they fear or hate. Could this also be the basis his self hate?

Obviously it's his own defect he babbles about (evidenced by the repetition), projecting it on everyone else, the same applies to how much he hates himself.

It WAS two options. I plainly asked;

1) Do you want us making fun of you for being a liar and a hypocrite?
or
2) Do you want us discussing your attention "topic" du jour?

Talk about defects, you can't even count to two.

You're so cute when you try to think. You've gotten all the way up to sentences,

My point, my dear imbecile, was that you can only count to two, that your limited ability to think confines you only to the absurd options a limited capacity can generate.

Unfortunately, you haven't, as evidenced by your own post. Sentences don't end with commas, sport.

Do you resent Mommy Moonbeam for making you sleep in air-tight containers when you were an infant? Is that where your brain damage came from, or did it simply aggravate a pre-existing birth defect? Hmm... :hmm:

Your arguments support what I've shared earlier. The government has been calling for regulation:

"The Secret History of Guns"

The Ku Klux Klan, Ronald Reagan, and, for most of its history, the NRA all worked to control guns. The Founding Fathers? They required gun ownership—and regulated it. And no group has more fiercely advocated the right to bear loaded weapons in public than the Black Panthers—the true pioneers of the modern pro-gun movement. In the battle over gun rights in America, both sides have distorted history and the law, and there’s no resolution in sight.
http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2011/09/the-secret-history-of-guns/308608/

while hardly enforcing it, which led to more gun sales. Meanwhile, the government encouraged sales of arms to other countries.

These led to more sales to citizens (and thus, more profits for the arms industry and more tax revenues to government), more justification for increased funding for internal security (as seen in more armaments for police, large prison systems, and surveillance, leading to more profits for the arms industry, with citizens paying for the costs), and more justification for increased funding for the military (due to more sales of arms to various groups worldwide, again paid for by the public). Media reporting on crime, etc., also encouraged more citizens to buy weapons.

Thanks for posting that. Very interesting stuff from my perspective, full of nuance and irony, the kind of thing that would make it rather unintelligible to the conservative brain, if I had to guess.

It seems that when it comes to understanding issues between liberals and conservatives, it always comes down to a war of color, the black and white world of the conservative brain and Technicolor for the liberal. It wouldn't be so bad if the conservative brain weren't so arrogant as to insist that it be the one to cut the wires to disarm the bomb. irishScott at least knows who is good at cutting. Recently, a foreign member of the conservative American Taliban found that out too when he blew himself to smithereens.

M: Because I was waiting for you to reply so I could add, "but you're still a trivial-minded dickhead."

And lo and behold, here we come right back to even more randomly generated synaptic firings in the form of imbecilic musings that characterize the typical need for low level thinking, two stupid alternatives, incessantly imposed, as it were, by a brain defect, to shield you from self recognition. What's so bad about being stupid? What do you have against being a shit throwing ape? Come on, your cage, surely it has a big tire swing. You love guns, don't you. Apes are well armed.
