I'm not the one with a gun.

I'm not the one who needs a gun to go to sleep at night because I'm worried about somebody breaking into my house.

That sir, would be you.

Right, moron...

And that explains why you want to take the guns away from every law-abiding citizen who poses no threat to you?

You yourself admit there is a crime problem and your paranoid irrational agenda is to try to disarm everyone, including those people who could defend you from the crime problem, in order to stop it. OTOH, the sane rational response from most people is simply to arm themselves to defend against the actual and real criminal threat.

So who is paranoid? That, idiot, would be you.

Stop confusing complete disarmament and restriction of certain classes of weapons, or making weapons more inaccessible. Nobody is going to take away your guns completely, that's impossible, and impractical - the problem is when a few nuts take it too far and think that a few gun laws are going to wipe out guns entirely.

But I think it's reasonable to say that nobody really needs a fully automatic AK47 to shoot deer or defend their home...we're not in Iraq, and if you routinely shoot deer with fully automatic weapons it's likely there isn't much of a deer left over when you're done.
I've never gone deer hunting in my life, and don't plan on it.

Have you read Lifted's responses? His solution to getting rid of crime involving handguns, is to make it illegal for law-abiding citizens to own handguns. Which would have absolutely no impact on the criminals that already illegally obtain their weapons.

Nobody is really arguing about fully automatic weapons being ban, so I don't know where you pulled that from.

Hey rikadik you said Quote:
" I can't imagine many people hunting deers with their 9mms."
They don't. Some people use a 10mm with an extended barrel. Try hitting any moving target with a handgun at 25 or more yards (or meters for some people) GOOD LUCK

Quote:
"It seems rediculous that even if someone is a convicted murderer, who killed people with guns, and has now been released from prison - STILL has the constitutional human right to own a handgun."
No they cannot! They do a background check for that crap. That right they once had has now been revoked! Where do you get your information. Those are probably illeageal guns they are getting. The same kind of illegeal guns you can get anywhere. Not just here in the US.

Right... like it isn't already illegal for a 14 year-old kid to carry a gun, much less shoot someone...

Obviously the kid acquired the gun illegally and is a criminal. No one is trying to protect his rights. But that is no reason why law-abiding citizens should not be allowed to own and carry a gun.

Why is it so hard for idiots to understand? The ONLY reason Hitler was able to kill 6+ millions Jews in the Holocaust is because he took all their guns first. After that, they were sheep ripe for the slaughter. And if you think this is paranoia, keep in mind that rational concern based off actual past events is not paranoia.

And if you think the cops will be right there to save you when the mugger sticks a gun in your face (an event that has actually happened to me), you're just a fool.

GUN!!!

That's one big ND just waiting to happen.

ND? Care to explain?

Negligent discharge. Some people refer to them as ADs (accidental), but since it takes a breach of firearm safety (such as having your finger on the trigger w/o intending to immediately take a shot) in order to produce one, they are properly called negligent discharges.

Yeah, I know it makes a better picture than it would if you were correctly indexing. Still...

Why you american so obsess with guns??
A question for a question; Have you considered you might not being calling us Americans if we weren't?
Amendment II

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.
I both share and support their thinking on this matter, and do not believe that thinking to be "outdated" either.

Bingo. Owning a gun and being properly trained in its use is a civic duty. It helps keep the crime rate down and maintains the stability, security, and freedom of the state.

This belief that outlawing guns would suddenly make gun crime disappear is pure fantasy.

You'll break their hearts if you tell them Santa Claus isn't real either.

Oops.

Who the heck know you have a gun in your house? you put a sign at your door? I'd break into a house without alarms. Having a gunfight is even better, hmm... dueling

I like to shoot people, what's wrong with that?

i think it is more amusing to stab people with a knife. I like to watch them struggle in agony. A gun kills too quick and takes the fun out of it.

Oh, something else, my pastor used to live in a little town in Georgia, where they accually wouldnt let you move in unless you had a gun. Now, guess which town in the country had the lowest crime rate?

Take a guess...

(btw, if u havent figured it out, it was that town )
