Well I have to say that I am thouroughly pleased with my 24" Sony GDM-FW900. Playing HL2 at 1920x1600 with 4xAA and 8xAF with full detail and reflect all is a sight to behold. I will post pics if you want to see it in action.

honestly what vid card do you have? you have to have an x800xt to view hl2 at 1920x1600 w/ decent quality settings and maintain a playable framerate (above 30 fps). that being said i would still love to see some screenshots at full resolution

Well I will have to get those pics either tonight or tomorrow as my Internet connection decided to stop working late last night. But this is running off an FX-55, 2x6800GT, 2GB Corsair system. I made a mistake on the resolution, it should be 1920x1200, sorry for the mistake, but it is still awesome to look at. And yes, I am getting very playable framerates. I tested the version 7 Anandtech city 17 timedemo and at 1600x1200 got around 64 fps and at 1920x1200 I still managed to pull in over 54.

That is beyond impressive.

I can't drop $800 on video cards, but at least the performance is there for those who want to pay for it. The other day my 6800GT was feeling kinda slow in FarCry - until I realized I had 4xAA on at 1680x1050, which I promptly turned off. (I tried lowering the resolution, but I like it much more at the native resolution of my LCD...)

You are fortuanate as I can not get Widescreen resolutions working properly on my setup with HL2 on my Dell 2005FPW!

With 1680x1050 16:10 enabled my screen shakes like the refresh/sync is slightly off. I have not had much luck clarifying this issue with BFG tech support. I just want them to find out from NVIDIA if this is a problem with the current drivers or a limitation of the hardware for SLI.

Note: I can run 1680x1050 with no problems in any games in Sinlge GPU mode

It must be a thing with either that resolution or the Dell monitor since I am using a CRT and not an LCD. I will have to try that res if it is available and see if I experience the same issues that you are.

Yeah its a LCD/DVI issue. Hes in the clear with the CRT.

Hopefully that is a fixable issue. I'll probably go widescreen at some point (or use HDTV as monitor).

I'm sure you could easily do that by just knocking AA down to 2x (probably wouldn't even need to turn it off completely).

No other widescreen but they have a couple of high quality 4:3 such as my secondary monitor the G520 which has an outstanding picture as well as their F520 which is a higher end model which most likely looks even better.
