This is an odd problem i cant seem to figure out. Recently i turned on my monitor in the morning and my computer was frozen. I went to restart it, and nothing was being sent to the monitor. There is one beep, so its not my video card. Everything else is normal. My monitor is not dead, it just says No Signal. I have an Elsa Gladiac and an Optiquest Q75. Does anyone have any suggestions or had something like this happen?

Can you boot from a startup floppy? If you can, just flash the bios and it will get back to normal.

If you have one, put a PCI vid card in it and see if you get a signal. Did you flash the BIOS recently? May also want to check the power supply.

Give us some more info to go on, what hasteps ahve you done so far?

i dont have PCI Video to try out. its not my power supply, everything else in the tower turns on, (lights, fans..ect). I've tried taking the battery out of the mobo to reset the bios, that didnt work. I havent flashed the bios at all. Uhm.. I've checked all the hookups in and out of the computer, cleaned the dust out of it. Nothing seems to help.

1 question: is your system overclocked? when i crank it up too high, it does this sometimes. but cold-booting it usually helps. try reseating the main components and see if that does the trick.

Does it appear to boot into windows? When you removed the CMOS battery did you also have the power removed form the MB or PS? after resetting the BIOS, remove and reinstall the video card.

Based on what you've said so far it's leaning to the Video card.

Yes i am overclocked and i know what your talking about. but usually after a few retry's it will go back. I've restarted it prolly 50 times and let it sit for nights. No it doesnt appear to boot into windows, nothing appears at all. When i removed the battery The Power was removed from the MB. I'll try and take out the video card and put it back in and fiddle around with the cpu if i can. Btw, Thanks for sticking with me on this and trying to help.
