No offense, and maybe I sound like an ass, but that would seriously make me consider a divorce. I cannot believe that anyone could be so irresponsible and stupid with their money.

A few days ago, my mom gave me a blank check to buy $100ish of clothes. Afterwards, I recorded it in her checkbook and noticed the balance had not been addded in 4 pages. Turns out she has -$350, who knows how much with the NSF fees.

My wife let 7 acres of land get foreclosed in 1982! She doesn't touch anything dealing with money since!! She has a charge card and does OK with that. I also control the car keys. No one wants to micromanage, but you have to do what you have to do.

Oh, and whatever you, don't strike her! That has never worked out for anyone I have known. If emotions get high, beat her to the punch and call the cops yourself.

Never have, never will. That's not ever an option to me.

I don't have the patience to worry evey time a woman leaves the house about what she might do to my finances or take the time and effort to basically put her on a leash. She would simply be gone.

Didn't have those when I got married. Wish they had!
Oh, long term, it's worked out pretty well. Went out doing some research a few years back and didn't find anyone I liked any better. Enjoyed the research though!
