Shooting a preacher is like squishing a spider. It's sad for a while but it cleans the place up.

Go to hell, you generalizing piece of crap.

That made me laugh for some reason.

Yes, something is definitely wrong here. She got off WAY too easily on this.

From TFA:

She said he made her watch pornography and wear "slutty" costumes for sex, and that he forced her to submit to sex acts that made her uncomfortable.

Something tells me that his side of the story would have been completely different.

Like sex in the back of a Volkswagen ?

My guess? He wanted her to wear some sexy lingerie, and wanted her in something other than missionary position. And she... snapped.

Ok don't flame me but who cares if this guy was a preacher, honestly...

What difference does it make? A person died, their profession should not garner more sympathy from an individual either way. Besides I think putting preacher in the thread title was stupid to begin with and is asking to get flamed.

Although the OP probably already knew this.

I agree, she got off way to easy but if you look at a lot of the court cases, our justice system is just plain screwed up right now. You have murderers claiming that they are mentally unstable and I'm sure SOME of them are but I also think most of them are just saying that to get out of serving time. Sorry, you do the deed, you pay the price. I mean, look at the judge who's suing the dry cleaner's for 54 million, yes originally it was thrown out but honestly, that case should have never gone to trial, it should have just been dropped as a frivolous lawsuit. But I blame the lawyers as well as the judges. The lawyers are the ones out there looking for bad cases because in the end, they're the ones collecting a ton of money and the judges should be throwing out some of these cases or at least giving a proper sentence

Someone's frigid. I won't say who it is though.

I suspect the husband wouldn't be entirely disappointed in this outcome. Imagine spending the rest of your life with someone whose view of sex is so narrow that practically anything is offensive to that person.

Preacher or not. I think the mods need to take a closer look at some of these posts....

Irregardless of her "mental condition" she is a menace to society and doesn't deserve to be free.

As is the case for a lot of criminals that are sent to mental institutions and then are released. Sad really.

For some reason, I am going against the grain here, but I side with the woman in this case.

I don't know why, except for just a feeling.

Justice shouldn't be based on feeling.

I assume that you were not in the courtroom to hear the full story. I haven't either, so I don't know.

I believe that there are people out there that deserve a bullet in the head, maybe he was one of them.

According to what she said in court.... yeh the guy probably deserved it. But it was just what she said in court... and aside from a wig and a pair of slutty shoes... no one could really verify the abuse. She got away with murder.

I really don't give a shit what someone's mental condition is, if they commit murder, they should get the fvcking chair. There is no evidence he did anything other than her personal statements. And I'm sorry, I don't believe much about what mentally unstable people say.
