picture of design
this is a picture of the setup of the apartment where i will be moving. my roomate, PC-A, and the store owner PC-B share an internet connection, WAP/Internet with the store below PC-B. I too would like to take part in this, but I am afaid that the radio will not reach, as I am at the far end of the apartment. What would be the best way to implement this? I was wondering if any current products would act as a second AP, or a wireless switch of sorts that would take the original AP's signal and not amplify it, but act as a wired switch would and route based on MAC. In other words, my roomate and I would connect to this secondary AP, and this AP would then talk wirelessly back to the original AP. It would be really great if this could be done via 11g, but 11b is ok too. If i can find a good 11g product, i would replace the current 11b product with a G so that the path between these two AP's would be optimal for 2 PC's "sharing" this link.
if said products exists, could you name model numbers?
