Hello to all,

I have an issue with my wifi, when connected through Ethernet I can get up to 1gb but with wifi I seem to keep getting 2mbs I'm using my Internet provider router which I know is not the best but it's the first time I have encountered this issue, I will like to get a little help on what should I look for in order to correct this issue , any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe have the ISP reset their router to factory defaults, and test again. You'll probably need to configure the router's WIFI name and password again of course.

Are you able to get a separate AP (access point) that you can connect to the ISP's router, and connecting to the AP's WIFI and run speed tests? This is to make sure it is not your computing device that's the issue.

Or if you have a different router lying around (or can borrow one), see if the ISP would allow you to use that instead, and then run speed tests from both ETH and WIFI on the different router.
